Eggnog Waffles with Sweet Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Homemade cinnamon whipped cream throws these waffles over the top.

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
4 large eggs
3 cups Horizon Organic eggnog
12 Tbsp Horizon Organic unsalted butter, softened and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
1 cup Horizon Organic heavy whipping cream
3 Tbsp sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract


In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog and softened butter. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined (the batter will not be perfectly smooth). Cook according to your waffle iron instructions.

To make the whipped cream, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a large mixing bowl and mix with beaters starting on a slow setting. Slowly increase and mix until the cream thickens and it starts forming peaks. 

Serve waffles with a dollop of whipped cream on top and enjoy!
